CleanWaterGrade

FTC Affiliate Disclosure & Grading Methodology

Direct Answer: CleanWaterGrade is reader-supported. When you purchase a water filtration system through our /go/ links, we may earn an affiliate commission from brands like Waterdrop, SpringWell, Aquasana, AquaTru, or APEC at zero additional cost to you. No brand can pay to alter a city’s A–F water grade.

1. Strict Separation of EPA Grades & Monetization

Every city and ZIP code A–F grade is calculated mechanically from four public federal datasets: EPA UCMR5 PFAS monitoring, EPA SDWIS Lead & Copper 90th-percentile reports, disinfection byproduct filings (TTHMs/HAA5), and USGS hardness surveys.

2. Affiliate & Local Dealer Partnerships

We participate in affiliate programs via Impact, CJ Affiliate, Awin, and direct brand partnerships, and offer a clearly labeled $149/month Featured Local Specialist slot for state-licensed plumbers.
